Cancellation & Refund Policy

At Sweep, we understand that schedules can change. Our cancellation and refund policy is designed to be clear, fair, and flexible.


Free Cancellation:

You can cancel a booking up to 4 hours before the scheduled service time and receive a full refund.


Late Cancellation:

If you cancel within 4 hours of the scheduled start time, no refund will be provided.


Emergency Cancellations:

We do make exceptions for genuine emergencies. Please reach out to our support team to discuss such cases, and we will review them on a case-by-case basis.


Re-service or Service Credits

In the event of dissatisfaction or emergency-based cancellations, we may offer a free re-service or service credit instead of a cash refund.

Payment Terms:

  • All bookings must be prepaid.
  • Any extra services or add-ons requested during the visit should be paid on the spot directly to the service provider or through our support team. 

Shipping Policy

As an on-demand home cleaning service, Sweep is dedicated to delivering prompt, professional, and reliable services to your doorstep.


Booking Confirmation and Response Time:

Once a booking is made and confirmed, a service provider is usually dispatched and arrives within 5 minutes, depending on traffic and availability.


Booking Flexibility:

We accept both immediate (ASAP) and advance bookings, including for later in the day or future dates. 


Helper No-Show Policy:

If a helper fails to arrive for a confirmed booking:

1. We will automatically assign a replacement without requiring you to rebook.

2. You will receive a full refund.

3. You will also receive your next booking free as an apology for the inconvenience.


Customer Absence:

If the customer is not available at the service address during the scheduled time and does not provide access, the booking will be marked as fulfilled, and no refund will be issued.


Service Areas:

We currently serve specific residential zones and buildings. Service availability may vary depending on your location.


Pricing and Charges:

There are no additional charges for:

  • Same-day bookings
  • Specific helper requests
  • Peak time slots (for now)

All service rates are inclusive of delivery and are shown transparently before you confirm your booking.


Punctuality and Training:

● Our helpers are trained in punctuality, professional behavior, and efficient navigation using Google Maps.

● We actively monitor all service assignments to ensure quality and timely completion.

Sweep Customer Terms of use

Effective per booking as of June 29, 2025


These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you (the "Customer") and Sweep ("Sweep", "we", or "us"), governing your use of our service, including bookings made via WhatsApp, phone, or our website. By confirming a booking with Sweep, you agree to abide by and be bound by these Terms. These Terms are enforceable under Indian law and admissible in court.


1. Overview

Sweep provides a platform to connect customers with independently verified cleaning helpers ("Helpers") for short-term home cleaning tasks. Sweep is a facilitator and does not directly provide cleaning services.


2. Nature of Services

  • Regular Cleaning Only: Sweep offers regular cleaning services such as floor mopping, dishwashing, and dusting. Deep cleaning, equipment-based tasks, pest control, and technical cleaning services are not included.
  • Helpers do not carry cleaning equipment or materials. Customers must provide all necessary tools and supplies.
  • Minimum booking time is 30 minutes, extendable up to 6 hours, depending on Helper availability.
  • Helpers typically arrive within 30 minutes of booking confirmation.


3. Safety Assurance

All Sweep Helpers are verified through:

  • Aadhar verification
  • Police verification
  • Court record checks

Sweep takes all reasonable measures to ensure the credibility of Helpers. However, Sweep is not liable for individual actions once a Helper enters your premises. 


4. Bookings & Payments

  • Bookings are confirmed only after availability is verified.
  • Extensions are strictly subject to Helper availability.
  • Only pre-payment is accepted. No cash or other payment modes are allowed.
  • Sweep may charge a service fee in addition to the Helper’s fee.
  • Any tips you give go directly to the Helper. Sweep does not take any portion of customer tips.

5. Cancellation & Substitution

  • Cancellations are not permitted. However, you may reschedule the booking up to 2 hours prior to the service.
  • If you book within 2 hours of the scheduled time, no rescheduling or cancellation is allowed.
  • If your assigned Helper is unavailable, Sweep will attempt to provide a suitable substitute.


6. Liability & Damage Policy

  • Sweep is not liable for any damages, losses, theft, or misconduct that occurs during or after the service.
  • We do not offer compensation under any circumstances.
  • Sweep encourages customers to overlook the Helper during the course of the booking for added safety.
  • You may report any concerns to help@sweepnow.in, but Sweep bears no legal responsibility for post-service outcomes. 

7. Customer Conduct

  • Customers must treat Helpers respectfully and provide a safe and harassment-free environment.
  • Do not instruct Helpers to perform illegal, unsafe, or unreasonable tasks.
  • Customers are requested to allow Helpers to charge their phone and access drinking water, especially for longer bookings


8. Reviews & Promotions

  • By booking a service, you consent to Sweep using your textual feedback and testimonials for promotional purposes.
  • Photos of your home will never be used without explicit permission.


9. Anti-Poaching Policy

You agree not to independently hire or contact Sweep Helpers for future services outside the Sweep platform. Breach of this clause may lead to permanent banning and legal consequences. 


10. Dispute Resolution

  • These Terms are governed by the laws of India.
  • Any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Bangalore, Karnataka.
  • These Terms are fully admissible in court as a contractual agreement.


11. Binding Consent Clause

By confirming a booking through WhatsApp or any Sweep communication channel, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions. This electronic confirmation serves as a valid and binding agreement enforceable under Indian Contract Law and the Information Technology Act, 2000.


12. Record Retention Note

Sweep retains booking records and WhatsApp communication logs for audit, customer protection, and legal verification in case of disputes.
